  1. Angela Durose, Lancaster

I have read The Witch and Her Soul and thoroughly enjoyed it – I found it a fascinating take on the Lancashire Witches story. As it is written from the viewpoint of someone who is more of an outsider in the story, not one of the more familiar characters, it makes for a very interesting read. I would recommend the book to anyone with an interest in the subject. I do hope the author has more books to publish as I would definitely read them.

  2. San Francisco Book review, May 2013

Middleton does a fine job depicting the tangled web of religious and political machinations, including struggles within families between one generation and the next younger one. She is also an apt portrayer of Elizabethan daily life, pastimes, and characters. Well worth a reader’s careful attention.
